Activities

Bunko
Bunko is a fun dice game that requires no prior experience to win or enjoy. Teams of four roll the dice in efforts to roll a one thru six depending on the round. Players generally enjoy socializing during the game as it takes little concentration to play. At the end of night prizes are award to the player with the most wins, most losses, most bunkos, and the holder of the bear. Bunko groups are made up of 12 players who rotate hosting duties at their home once a month throughout the year. Substitutes are needed when regular members are unable to attend.

Adult Night Outs
Adult night outs are designed for both men and women to get together for appetizers, dinner, and/or dessert. The ladies have even enjoyed a spa day at Spa Vargas in Barrington.

Scrapbooking
Scrap booking provides members a chance to organize personal photos and/or put together scrap book pages. Everyone who attends is able to work independently of each other so it can be beneficial for both the novice and the experienced scrap booker. Members rotate hosting duties at their home once a month and everyone in the club is welcome. The club also hosts all day scrap booking events at the Ela Public Library a few times throughout the year for those who need additional time to organize and decorate photos.

Book Club
Book Club is a group for individuals who enjoy reading literature and discussing with others. This group is available to all members and is held every other month. Members either rotate the hosting duties at their home or other meeting place (i.e. book store, coffee shop, library, etc). Pokeno
Pokeno is a card/bingo game that also requires little to no experience to win or enjoy. All players are given a Pokeno card (this card looks like a bingo card with small playing cards in each space rather than different letters) and small chips. Players take turns calling a pattern and calling the cards as they go through the deck. As one player calls the cards, the other players put their chips on the corresponding cards until they have a Pokeno! The winner of each round collects the pot of $12, as each player turns in $1 at the beginning of each round. Although this game can hold unlimited players it is made up of 12 regular players who rotate hosting duties at their home once every other month. Substitutes are needed when regular members are unable to attend.
